Buck Clary Hopkins County, TX Shooting Death: Family Friends Mourn
Authorities in Hopkins County are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred during an alleged home invasion on County Road 4779 on May 12, 2026, resulting in the death of a man identified as Buck Clary.
According to preliminary information released by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a rural residence in the northern part of the county after what began as suspicious activity reportedly escalated into a deadly confrontation before law enforcement arrived.
Investigators say surveillance footage from a Ring doorbell camera allegedly captured Clary approaching the home and repeatedly striking the glass front door while shouting outside the residence. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed Clary had died from injuries sustained during the shooting.
